Please use Sat Nav and Postcode locators with caution.  Some Sat Navs cannot distinguish between gated farm tracks and bridleways!  Postcodes cover a wide area and in our case is centred on our next door neighbour, a mile away by road. Postcode SA43 3LZ is not our postcode but it will direct you in on the correct lane entrance, our lane entrance is clearly signposted.

Please make sure all members of your party have a copy of this postcode and our map. You are very welcome to phone us if you get lost, please try to stop near a house name or junction so that we may recognise where you are.

Cardigan Town is a 15 min drive from Cwm Connell where you will find Tesco & Aldi, (use postcode SA43 1NA). There are also local butchers & bakers in the high street.

Yes!  But as we are rural the drivers often get lost or cannot find us. We recommend you use our main address Cwm Connell Cottages. Moylegrove. Pembrokeshire. SA43 3BX. but don’t forget to also use your cottage name and surname in the information, so we know where to send it.

Put this direction in the notes box:

“Property not in the village. Located on the road from Moylegrove to Poppit Sands Beach, look for the sign Cwm Connell Coastal Cottages”.

Use our mainline telephone number 01239 881691, if you are enroute you will have limited mobile signal and we have limited mobile signal on site.

We recommend you organise for your delivery to arrive the morning after you arrive. If that’s not possible please ensure that your order arrives after your arrival, taking into account that traffic will delay you if you are travelling on peak bank holiday and school holiday dates.

We cannot guarantee that we will be here to accept it, but of course we will do our best to help, if you find you are delayed. Please let us know.

We recommend you book any restaurants in advance, they have limited availability and get very busy at weekends and during peak season.

There is limited mobile phone signal, depending on which provider you use, and some mobile phones do not work in the cottages. You may need to wander in the dog paddock to get a good signal.

Duvets, sheets, pillows, pillowcases and blankets are provided by us.  Towels and bath/shower mats are also provided but please bring your own beach towels & towels to use in the hot tub & sauna.

If you are bringing an infant please bring your own travel cot and bedding so that you can ensure that your baby will be comfortable and safe.  We have 2 Ikea highchairs available, please reserve one in advance and we will put it in your cottage for your arrival.

The cottages are heated with electric radiators which are programmed to come on in the morning and in the evening.

We provide complimentary logs with kindling and lighters all throughout the year. The switch to turn on the Sauna is just on the right inside the sauna/shower area. It takes about 45 minutes to heat up. Please remember to turn it off after use and turn off the lights when you leave but please don’t turn off the hot tub, it stays on all the time.

Free wifi

All of our cottages benefit from a Secure Superfast Internet service. We have a fully integrated WiFi solution providing coverage in all of our cottages ensuring you are always connected. Our WiFi Guest network provides 10/3 Mbps Download and Upload respectively.

All cottages are equipped with new Samsung Smart TVs allowing you to make the most of the fast broadband. Watch free-to-view or log into your own streaming account and access your usual entertainment.

Ample Hot Water

We’ve installed new large hot water tanks to ensure that you have ample hot water delivered at a good pressure when you need it most.

All cottages have new thermostatically controlled electric radiators throughout. We set these to come on for two hours in the morning and three in the evening. We ask you to use the woodburning stove if you need more heat outside of these hours.

Wood Burning Stoves

We don’t think there is anything better than curling up in front of a wood burning stove when the weather turns cold or wet. All our cottages (except Ty Cwtch) have new easy control Jotul wood burning stoves. Wood is available free from the woodshed so you will always be cosy.

Cooking and Eating

You’ll find your kitchen newly equipped with everything you need to cook and eat. New induction hobs and combination microwave/conventional ovens give you a range of options for cooking. Two and three Bedroom cottages have built in dishwashers but these are not installed in one bed cottages. New crockery, cutlery and glassware throughout.

Beds and bedding

Discover our new beds and mattresses. There is nothing as disappointing as an uncomfortable bed on holiday so rest assured that we’ve invested in new super comfortable medium firm mattresses. All beds have duvets and beautiful Welsh blankets to keep you warm. We are feather free so sleep easy of you have an allergy.

We’ve never been believers in showers over baths so we’ve renovated all the bathrooms to ensure all showers are walk in and that all baths are luxurious standalones. Underfloor heating and towel rails in all bathrooms.

The cottages are not equipped with land line telephones. Mobile signal can be very patchy here unless you are with EE. We strongly recommend that you contact your mobile provider before your stay to enable wi-fi calling while you are here at Cwm Connell to ensure you can call who you want when you want.

You’ll find a new washing machine and tumble dryer in our laundry area – these are free to use. You’ll also find clothes detergent available for small charge. In the laundry area you will find a tall freezer with a drawer for each cottage.

Guest testimonials about this cottage

A hidden gem, the most amazing cottages ❤️.  We stayed as a large family in 2 separate cottages and we were all amazed at how beautiful they were, they have been finished to such a high standard and the little touches such as fresh bread, flowers, local coffee and butters, were very thoughtful. We had 5 dogs between us and they were catered for as much as we were with their dog tags, treats and towels and not forgetting the brilliant dog paddock, which by the way has the most amazing view of the sea. The owners were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The walks are amazing and you can walk to a small cove within 20 mins for some cold water swimming, however the walk back up is not for the less agile. We had the best family holiday and would definitely come back again.

One of the best cottages I have stayed in . Emma was so so helpful to ensure that our stay was exceptional. 10 family members using 2 of the cottages worked really well. The cottages are isolated sitting amongst beautiful countryside with views of the sea from the dog paddock.  The cottages are modern, clean and comfortable and the extra little touches that are provided are amazing – homemade dog treats, dog tags with phone number of Cwm Connell, fabulous coffee and homemade bread. Honey butter to die for!  The fully enclosed dog paddock was amazing to run the dogs and sit and watch the sunsets.  All in all a wonderful week.

This was our second time staying here and the cottage we stayed in this time had just been renovated to an exceptional standard, with a superb wet room and a huge super king double bed. Such a warm welcome from Alex and Emma, for us and our four legged friends. Perfect!

Emma, the host, is warm, personable and kind ensuring all needs are satisfied. She was open to hear of any improvements required. We couldn’t think of any! Clear, welcoming communication from the point of booking.

If you like wild and windy walks amid stunning seaside landscapes, with mainly birds and sheep for company, and the occasional prehistoric archeology, this is the place for you. It’s also a very comfortable place to stay, whatever the weather – with newly restored stone cottages furnished with wood burning stoves and modern kitchen appliances. We stayed in early July for a family reunion taking over several cottages and sharing meals and it couldn’t have been lovelier. Good local food and restaurants are not far, though the country lanes take some getting used to for city drivers. Good place to get away from the shrill clamour of phone and email and just marinate in blissful isolation.
