Gatherings

Cwm Connell is the perfect location for a get together. We regularly host multi generational parties and special occasions where guests can come together but still have their own space with their own cottages. We call this being together apart and it works really well!

This works so well for young families as you can give the kids tea, put them to bed and then get together for a drink and supper in the Hay Loft within baby monitor range. The Hot Tub is a perfect place for long relaxed chats and the sauna is a great meeting place for friends! The communal space provided in the Hay Loft with its dedicated kitchen is a wonderful place to meet up after a day on the beach or walking the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.

We are happy to put you in touch with one of the local caterers we regularly work with if you feel like a bit of culinary help.

Whilst we love to see people having a good time we do not welcome stag parties or noisy/crazy/banging parties of any kind. There is definitely a place for that but it’s not here so if that’s your thing please look elsewhere.

We stayed in Fron Haul as part of a big group of friends when we came to celebrate our friend Sophie’s 60th. The set up at Cwm Connell was perfect for the event – staying in the individual buildings within the complex meant we had our privacy amidst all the sociability. The cottage was so nicely converted and a lovely little bolt hole – great shower, comfy beds and plenty of space to relax.

We spent 4 nights at Yr Ydlan cottage with our four dogs; friends booked another cottage for what we hoped would be a relaxing get-away break over Christmas. From the warm welcome by Emma and Alex, to the well appointed cottage, to walks from the door and even down to the weather, we couldn’t have asked for more! The cottage is very thoughtfully and tastefully appointed mixing traditional with modern style. Fixtures and fittings are quality and the all-important features for a great stay were present, i.e., comfortable bed, decent WiFi, great shower and appliances that work. We and our friends spent a most enjoyable Christmas. Quiet local walks as well as one a bit further afield were perfect and for the dogs, the large secure dog field was the icing on the cake. Highly recommended and we may well be back!

An excellent stay with friends. The whole experience was superb from top notch high quality accommodation, helpful knowledgeable hosts and great catering. Not always easy to cater to everyone’s needs when a large group – 24 in this case- but absolutely all bases were covered.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay with friends in this beautiful coastal location. Here are some excellent features: hidden cottages cleverly positioned so everyone gets some privacy. Pretty garden spaces. Dogs very welcome in excellent communal exercising spaces. Secret paths down to beaches with clear waters. Wonderful yoga sessions in open air led by Alex. Relaxed management by Emma and team. Attention to guests’ comfort professionally thought through. We loved it all.

We have just had a wonderful three generational half term at Cwm Connell Coastal Cottages. The cottages are extremely comfortable and beautifully fitted out, from the solid wooden kitchens down to the perfect light switches, from the woodburning stoves (with plentiful supplies of wood) to the cosy welsh blankets. Alex and Emma are great hosts, attending to our every need up to and including yoga lessons from Alex! They are in gorgeous coastal country, with lovely walks and beaches nearby, castles and standing stones to explore. Thoroughly recommended in every way.
