Cwm Connell is our home, a traditional Welsh farm complex set in twenty acres of Pembrokeshire Coastal Park. Our six luxury self catering cottages are barn conversions constructed using traditional stone and slate and retain many original features, Set in a natural, landscaped garden with a rainwater fed pond.
Cwm Connell's unique location within the Pembrokeshire Coastal Park offers complete tranquillity. A real rural retreat where a peaceful nature reigns, with the only sound coming from the babbling brook that runs along one boundary, the whisper of the breeze in the trees or the faint sound of the waves on the cliffs. The Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park is the perfect place to enjoy both coastal walking and escape to the amazing beaches which surround us.
Cwm Connell is home to an abundance of wildlife from our resident badgers & bats to birds & butterflies. Hidden from sight at the end of a bridleway with views of both rolling countryside and the sea, Cwm Connell offers the perfect ruralretreat in which to unwind and relax into a more simple and natural pace of life.
Cwm Connell is ideal for walking holidays, with our “walk from your door” location. Footpaths from the property lead directly across the fields to the network of Bluestone Country walks in the Preseli Hills, as well as a delightful walk down through a wooded valley to the pebble cove of Ceibwr Bay, where the path joins the spectacular cliff Coastal Path. In addition, a vast array of both coastal, country or mountain walks are only a short drive away.
Cwm Connell Coastal Cottages are in a superb coastal location, nestled amongst the gentle folds of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Park, providing the ideal rural retreat in which to relax and unwind. With fabulous beaches and the famous Pembrokeshire Coastal Path right on our doorstep, we are perfectly located to enjoy all that Pembrokeshire and West Wales have to offer.
The picturesque coastal towns of Newport and Cardigan are a few miles away, along with an array of award winning blue flag beaches. With easy access to the excellent beaches of Ceredigion to the north, Carmarthenshire and the Brecon Beacons to the West and Pembrokeshire on the doorstep, you can really make the most of your time to enjoy all that West Wales has to offer.
Pembrokeshire offers activities to suit all tastes. Our cottages by the sea are well placed for activities ranging from, offshore island trips & bird watching to seal and dolphin spotting. For the more active, cycling, horse riding, coasteering, climbing, surfing & kayaking in the Teifi Gorge, can all be found within a short drive. We are within easy reach of an extensive range of historic sites and houses, castles and market towns. The popular sandy beaches at Poppit Sands, Mwnt and Newport Sands are close by.
Local shopping offers the perfect blend of local fresh country produce with the convenience of larger supermarkets. Newport is home to some lovely restaurants that range from high quality pub grub thru to gastronomic treats. St Dogmaels also has a range of pubs to eat in along with Bowens fish & chip shop, on a Tuesday morning it has a wonderful local food market. Cardigan has a range of restaurants and takeaways.
